{Hair care} Let’s get Noughty
Curly hair problem #298 – You have two styling options: Ponytail and bun.
This is definitely the story of my life. Maybe our curly hair problems will be a thing of the past once Noughty’s hair care range hits the shelves?
I was so excited to hear about the new Noughty 97% Natural hair care range that will be hitting the shelves at Clicks later this month. As a ‘coloured’ gal, I know the struggle of hair that’s not straight enough, not curly enough, so it fills my heart with warm fuzzy feelings to know that there’s a hair care range coming, that wants you to embrace your natural hair.
Whether you want to fight frizz, battle product build-up or simply define those curls, Noughty haircare products are designed to make a real difference to your locks and are suitable for all hair types including extensions.
These products are made in the UK and contain high quality ingredients such as coconut oil, olive oil, sea kelp, blue mallow flower and argan oil. Noughty’s natural ingredients pack a punch, for hair that feels and smells as good as it looks. Plus it’s gentle enough for the whole family and very affordable. As a mom of 3, and especially with a 7 year old daughter with A LOT of curly hair on her head, this is music to my ears.
I love the addition of argan oil in hair care products I use for myself or for my daughter. It’s really nourishing and has the ability to soften the hair and treat split ends. The ingredient I’m most excited about though, is the blue mallow flower, and I promise it has nothing to do with the fact that it’s related to the ‘Marsh Mallow flower’. The blue mallow flower’s botanical name is Malva Sylvestiris and it apparently has anti inflammatory properties, so this will really soothe the scalp. My daughter has a very sensitive scalp, so this may be a great addition to her hair care regime.
A huge trend in hair and beauty now is to use products that are cruelty free, and here Noughty is on point, as they don’t use any animal derived ingredients, so their products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans AND they do not believe in testing any of their ingredients on Bambi, Lassie or Skippy. Isn’t that great? The products are also FREE from petrochemicals, parabens, sulphates and silicones.
There’s a variant for all hair types:
- Rise and shine – Normal or dry hair
- Care taker – Dandruff or sensitive scalps
- To the rescue – Frizzy damaged hair
- Wave hello – Curly or wavy hair
- Detox dynamo – Detoxing or removing product build up
The new Noughty haircare range will be launching in selected Clicks stores nationwide from September. It will retail at R149,95 for 250mls.
Are you excited to try out anything from this range? I’m definitely keen to try ‘Care taker’ and ‘To the rescue’.

Been trying the Wave Hello and so far I like it. The Leave-In is a goodie!

Liezel I’m glad to hear that. I haven’t spotted it in Clicks close to me yet, but I’m definitely keeping an eye out.
