May Boxycharm {Unboxing}
It’s about that time again, where my excitement levels peak with the arrival of my latest Boxycharm! #Whoop
I will be honest, this month’s box didn’t have me super excited…I loved receiving it, and I love the product selection as well, but I do already own a few similar items, so I will either be regifting these or putting them away for a giveaway. Great news for you gals I guess š
As always, there’s a theme for the month and this month’s theme was ‘Makeup is Art’ and I think it tied in beautifully with the products they sent, as you could use them all to sculpt your face, a work of art…. So…..Ā #WhatsInTheBox
Highlight & Contour Palette by IBY Beauty (RSP $40.00)
‘Scuplt, define and illuminate your features with the Highlight and Contour Palette. Chic and portable, this PRO-approved kit comes in 6 versatile shades.’
I love how compact this palette is and the powder looks really smooth and soft. I’m not trying this out or swatching it though, because I have my favourite NYX contour and highlight powder, so I just feel having 2 are unnecessary. š My heart aches to try it out though. lol. I have a friend that I think this may be perfect for as a birthday gift, or I will put it into a giveaway I’m planning to run soon.
Round Contour Brush by Crown Pro (RSP $24.99)
‘This super soft paddle brush can be used with any liquid, powder, or cream product for a full coverage application.’
This brush feels a lot flimsier than I expected for the price, BUT those bristles are EVERYTHING! It’s so soft and dense. I’ve used this brush once with my L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation and it blended like a dream. I thought it gave me such a flawless and smooth finish. It’s so bizarre, as I swore by a damp beauty sponge and now I’m into dense brushes.
Brow Brush by The BrowGal (RSP $14.00)
‘This double ended brow brush was designed to allow for precision and creating hair like strokes, while filling the brows.’
I’ve never used a brow brush that has such a thin and precise tip. The spoolie gets through my ‘Fiela se kind’ brows without a problem and then I usually use my MAC pencil to carve out my brows, but with this brush, I can just use powder to do everything. I really love it!
Convertible Brow by The BrowGal (RSP $35.00)
‘The convertible brow is a powder/pomade duo that acts as a powder when used dry and a pomade when used wet. Each compact has a warm, neutral and ash tone to allow you to mix and create your own custom colour.’
I’ve seen good reviews on this, but won’t be using it as I plan to put it into a giveaway.
Liquid Glow by Temptu (RSP $29.50)
‘In this limited editiion collaboration with Boxycharm, Temptu introduces Liquid Glow, its first hand-applied highlighter. ‘
This highlighter I could not wait to get my hands on! I was really hoping it was similar to the Cover FX drops I know I can never afford. I want to mix this in with my foundation, but haven’t gotten around to that yet. As a highlighter though it’s beautiful, very subtle and definitely gives you a natural ‘glow from within’ sort of highlight. It would be perfect as a base for your powder highlight, when you want a more in your face type of glow.
Total box value is $143.49, almost R1900 for a cost of $29/R381. #MindBlown every month!

Mine gets delivered via an international courier company, so perhaps you could look into that option. It’s an awesome subscription š

It works out to be a bit of a bargain. I would love to sign up for a subscription like this but I have so much make up and I’m trying to downsize my collection
An ordinary gal
Downsize?? What does that mean? lol. I totally feel you. I’m also getting to a point where I’m rather adding the stuff to a giveaway pile vs needing or wanting the items. Though there’s always something on our lustlist…. Thanks for stopping by!

You get all of this for R391 a month?! ???? #mindblown

I am also a Boxycharm subscriber and love it – just wanted to mention that it is actually $21 not $29 so is even more of a bargain! š
