FriYAY Favourite – It’s not quite a genie in a bottle
I have had that song stuck in my head all week while thinking of a title for this post, so I just went with it. *Sings* It’s a toner in a bottle, you gotta squirt it on your face…(to the tune of genie in a bottle). Okay so maybe I won’t become an award-winning song writer 🙁 Hopefully, at least the ear worm will end now.
It’s Friday….so ya’ll know what that means…it’s FriYAY! I’m keeping it short and sweet today (I hope), because this is freakin post number 4 for the week! I don’t want to be spamming you gals, but I didn’t want to flake on my FriYAY series. Let me know if I should pause the FriYAY posts for August, seeing as Thursday will be a party post every week? I don’t mind putting in the work, but I just don’t want to be overloading you all. <3
I have featured this product on the blog before in this post, but today I’m actually not featuring the product. If any of you follow me on twitter, you may have seen this:
So the product is no more…..but…the bottle still is very much around! I just loved this idea of spraying my toner on my face. Toner is very much on my ‘must do’ list after I saw Jackie Aina’s video about it helping with the pore situation (you can check that out here). So I looked in my cupboard and I found toner from The Body Shop, Isabella Garcinea and then the 2mls that was left of the original toner in the bottle. I made my own special toner brew and the bottle was back in business.
When I get out of the shower, I pat my face dry and I spritz away. I get dressed while it dries, then add my serum/oil/moisturiser. This may be something you have been doing for ages and I’ve only just come to the party, but I think this is revolutionary. lol. Also, no more wastage of cotton rounds, because those things are expensive and you use a lot of them!
That’s that for this week’s FriYAY fave! I think this saves time, saves cotton rounds and it’s a great way to get the benefits of a few toners if you’re like me, with 3 half empty bottles lying around.
Have you joined the revolution yet? Will you? What’s your favourite toner?

I haven’t even arrived at the party yet ???? I had no idea you could spray on toner, that sounds so much simpler than the usual toner on cotton pad situation. 🙂
Simone
I honestly think it’s genius. lol. Thanks for stopping by!

You poor women, I feel for you like I felt for Lechelle the other day when she dropped her Smashbox primer oil. But I love how you bounced back and made it work.
Simone
I also cringed when Lechelle dropped that stuff. We all felt her pain. Lol.

At the moment, I use the Vitamin E Toner from The Body Shop but that plus my Miscellar Water means that I go through cotton wool like a baby goes through nappies. Spray on toner sounds like a great idea! Thanks for including the link to Jackie’s video, my pore situation needs to get under control ugghh ????

I use the Avene Thermale Spray as a toner, make-up setting spray … lol I’m one bottle no 4 already so I must like it. And yes, it being in a spray bottle makes it sooo mcuh more convient.
Simone
I have that, but never thought to use it as a setting spray. It’s a fantastic spray though. I use it for skin irritations, nappy rash (for my toddler). I didn’t even think to use it as a toner….silly me! Thanks for the eye opener 🙂
