July Boxycharm {Unboxing}

It’s time for my July boxyshhuurrrrmmmm unboxing! Sorry…that was me channeling my inner Kathleen Lights 😉 My boxycharm is such an event for me and the July Boxycharm is no exception. It’s really like getting a present every single month. I’m also always left flabbergasted by how much value is in a box versus the actual cost! Budget beauty at it’s best.

The July boxycharm is themed ‘Cutie pie‘ and I feel they gave us a bit of everything this month. Something for eyes, brows, lips, face and body! Just add foundation and it’s a complete look in one box. So…as usual, let’s get into it and find out #WhatsInTheBox…..

Electric Eyes Palette by Blinc (RSP $45,00)

This palette features a combination of 5 highly pigmented, jewel tone eyeshadows. The shades beautifully pair together to give you a gorgeous, golden eye look. This formula blends effortlessly, and is long-lasting.

Okay, the colours in this little palette are STUNNING! They are really insanely pigmented and I imagine if you foil them, they’ll pop even more. Though I’m not sure it needs any more popping. I am making the heartbreaking decision to regift this palette though, as next month we are getting Tarte palettes in our box and I really cannot justify having all these pretty palettes and I’m not using them. I’ll keep it in the family though 😉

Ultra-Matte lip by Colourpop (RSP $6,00)

Colourpop needs no introduction on the blog, because I have posted numerous times about it, including here and here. I received this ultra-matte lipstick in the shade ‘Notion’ and it seems to be a stunning berry colour. It has not been swatched, because….it’s being regifted. I know…I’m such a lovely person.

Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo by BareMinerals (RSP $32,00)

This silky and ultra-fine combination of setting powder and finishing powder instantly vanishes on all skin tones. Enjoy an even, long-lasting, natural looking luminous complexion.

The packaging on this just feels luxurious. It’s just a plastic casing with the 2 powders, but it feels sturdy and expensive. The mirror is amazing! Inside there’s a matte powder and a glow powder. On first swipe, these powders are incredibly finely milled. I have used it on 2 occasions now and I like using it to set my under-eye concealer. It’s not heavy at all, and because it’s so fine, I find that it doesn’t settle into any fine lines really.  The glow powder isn’t glittery, there’s just a really fine sheen that it adds to the skin. It looks beautiful when I use it as a topper over another highlighter.

Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil by WinkyLux (RSP $12,00)

Simplify your brow game with this 2-step pencil. Its firm texture gives maximum control so anyone can be a brow boss.

So this pencil has 2 sides, one is a spoolie and the other side is an almost triangular brow pencil.  The spoolie is fantastic. It really grips and brushes through this jungle above my eyes. The pencil side feels a bit dry AND mine doesn’t seem to want to turn up to give me product. I’m a bit heartsore about that, because I was excited about trying this out. I did scrape my brows with the tip that’s sticking out and once I pressed it down and got the product out, I really liked it. The colour suited me and I love the angled tip. I just hope I can eventually get the stupid thing to turn up 🙁 Any advice anybody?

Body Illuminizer by Ofra Cosmetics ($39,95)

The first ever body illuminizer body lotion that will stay all day long. This innovative all over body lotion provides a gorgeous, glowing coverage for your body while also providing healthy, illuminated, younger looking skin. This product is not a self tan item.

This is a lovely bronze-y, almost rose gold colour but doesn’t seem to leave much of a tint on the skin. There’s a fine illumination, little sparkle speckles left on the skin. I’ll keep this for summer and see how much use I get out of it. Not really something I would have bought for myself, but I guess this is the thing about subscription boxes. You get to try things you ordinarily would not have tried.

The total value of this box was $134.95/R1750 vs a total cost of $29. Who the heck can beat that?? If you want to sign up, all the details are in THIS post along with a FREE Aramex sign up code. Next month we’re getting a TARTE palette!! Yo….TARTE?? #CantDeal

As we do with every unboxing, Melanie from Melanie’s Nook and I like to share our findings and unboxings, so please head over to her post to see what she got and what her first impressions are of all her goodies 😉

Did anything catch your eye? Have you signed up?
