10 Random facts about me #30DayBBlogChallenge
November 8, 2017
In case you missed day 1 of the #30DayBBlogChallenge, you can find it over here. We’re onto ‘day 2’ now of the #30DayBBlogChallenge posts, 10 random facts about me. Here we go……
- I absolutely LOVE my own jokes. At random times I will burst out laughing thinking about something I said 3 weeks ago. My husband thinks I’m insane, but I know he thinks I’m pretty funny too.
- I hate when people don’t laugh out loud at something I think is funny (whether my own joke or somebody else’s). Like can you think something is funny if you don’t laugh from the depths of your stomach???
- I have a phobia of mannequins. They literally make me dizzy when I walk past them…I can feel them before I even see them! Once Queenspark had mannequins with flower balls for heads. I almost collapsed on the spot.
- I don’t eat pork. It’s not a religious thing at all. I know I had a lot of muslim friends when I was younger, and perhaps it influenced me slightly, but I just can’t bring myself to eat pork at all.
- I told a lie and as a result I had to be vegetarian for about 2 years. Some times I can be OCD about what I eat and how it’s prepared. At a youth camp, I did not want to eat the hot dogs on offer so I lied and said that I don’t eat meat. Everybody went out of their way to make me something meat-free to eat….so after the camp I had to continue with the lie. That being said…in the end I enjoyed being vegetarian and I do think i could do it again.
- I’ve been homeless.
- I’ve had a miscarriage, but I believe things happen when they need to. If I didn’t go through that….our Adam would not be with us today possibly. <3 Can you gals imagine the blog without Adam??? Just not possible 😉 Read about Adam’s shenanigans here.
- I am an accountant, but I wish I did something more meaningful with my life. I wanted to be a psychologist, but my father was having none of it.
- My husband and I met at church. I was 14 and he was 15. We’ve been together for 22 years now. We are kind of obsessed with each other. lol. No jokes…we cannot bear being apart.
- I learnt to use a washing machine about a year ago. I definitely wouldn’t win the award for being the most domesticated person alive.
Well, those are 10 random facts about me. Please leave me a comment below with 1 or 2 random facts about yourself. I’d love to know a little bit more about you. <3

Thanks for sharing; almost feel like I know you better now, and pleasantly surprised at how alike we are. 🙂 Numbers 1, 2, 9, and 10 could all be me! Well, I did know how to use a washing machine before last year LOL, but I’m not the most domesticated either. 😉

We should get together and just laugh at how funny we are one day 😉 Maybe find a stand up comedy joint and blow it up! Imagine the crickets in the room….. lol

I didnt know you were vegetarian! Come back to the green side lol! Also didn’t know about the homeless and miscarriage part. Alas, you are good now. Thankfully.
I think I’m pretty funny but only to me lol. I’m actually quite domesticated but I kinda give off this vibe that I’m not ???? so people don’t ask me to do anything

LMAO…almost spat my coffee out at your last comment! I love sending out those ‘helpless’ woman vibes. I think it’s why I prefer to dumb myself down with such things…like ‘babes why won’t the PC switch on?’ Him: ‘Did you check if it’s switched on?’. Oops….
Thanks for reading hun 😉

I love how completely honest you were with this! Feels like I know so much more about you!

So bizarre that we’ve grown up together. My daughter asked one day how old we were when we met…I tried to sidestep, but answered eventually. She was like: Gross mom! You guys were naughty! LOL
Thanks so much for reading. xxxx

haha … manequins? Really? You would not cope with my kids then, they are obsessed with touching them and I’m terrified one day the whole things is going to fall down on top of them.
Homeless sux! I’m sorry.
I think I would quite literally die if I didn’t have a washing machine. I actually get withdrawal symptoms when I only use it once a day in summer months. I’m on my 3rd load already today because I decided I have to wash the lace curtains today.
Me: I’ve had both hips replaced two years ago at age 33/34. I suffer from very low blood pressure – even when I’m stressed. I am terrified of locusts. And I bought my first ever make-up sealant spray stuff today – I was channelling you and thought you’d be proud of me! lol
Simone
I’d probably just run and leave the kids with the mannequins. They come to life so I’m sure they’d take care of the kids ????????
Both hips? Wow…how come?
I’m so impressed that you got the sealant????

My sister is also terrified of mannequins! I’ll tell her there are more people like her out there ????

LOL…glad to know I’m not alone as well!!

Mmmm just two ? Lol. I have a phobia of butterflies. If I see one you will see me running. I survive on coffee and I have to drink a cup of Carmien Ginger and Chilli tea every morning before work or I feel I might explode . I don’t know why though – but I have to have 2 packs of backups or I feel like I might have a mini anxiety attack.
Simone
Phobia of butterflies? Oh my soul. lol. I get it though, they’re so predatory…. 😉 ha ha
Thanks for sharing these facts! I actually really enjoy reading them!

Your jokes make me laugh the hardest so I also find myself laughing at something you said 3 weeks ago and trust me, I do the proper, loud belly laugh too.
I knew about the hot dog thing but it still makes me laugh…out loud because only you.
Number 8. I would have loved to be a psychologist as well.
You would have been an amazing one. But it’s fine, you can practice on me because I need all the help I can get hahaha.
Simone
At least you know to never offer me a hot dog! LOL
