A mini Pink Cosmetics Haul

Happy 1st of November!!! Say what?? Christmas is NEXT MONTH! I cannot believe how this year has flown by….. I have already bought Christmas presents. For real! It doesn’t get more real than that I think. Anyways, let me get to today’s post….

I have only shopped with Pink Cosmetics once before over here when I purchased my beloved Tartelette In Bloom palette. Janet (the owner) not only offers amazing international brands and top class service, she also has her own brand of bath, skin and hair products available on her website. For months I have been dying to try out a few goodies, but I somehow never included it high on my priority list. Why Simone??? Eventually in September, I FINALLY placed an order for a few items and I thought I’d give you a run down of what I got.

Mermaid Foaming body scrub (RSP R150)

I literally cannot talk about this product without drooling. Firstly its gorgeous to look at and open. Secondly, the scent is something that is so out of this world. The lemongrass infused with watermint….I just want to bathe in the scent all day everyday! Thirdly it is one really generous jar of body scrub and lastly….the mermaid tail soap on top of it??? I mean really…. I cannot gush about this enough.

The whipped texture is so unique and I love that is foams as well. Something about foam just makes me feel extra clean. I’m not one for non-foaming cleansers and scrubs, so this product was made for me. It leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised. This product is also sulphate free.

I want to get this for Christmas gifts for everybody I know! I think anybody would LOVE receiving this as a gift!

Solid brush and sponge cleaner-Strawberry Champagne (RSP R150)

I’ve seen these all over social media and the fact that this cleaner is in a tub appeals to me so much! I’ve got a different brand, one that sits in a little tub, but you remove the actual soap to dry it. My nanny found the empty tub and threw it away! So now I sit with a little soap that I just have no desire to use. This one sits securely in the tub, so it ain’t going anywhere.

I’m not sure if Janet means to appeal to all our senses at once…because her products are a sensation to the eyes and nose…which in turn makes you want to eat her products. lol. This cleaner smells so good….I usually smile when doing my makeup with the clean brushes, as I can smell the scent of the cleanser still.

Besides looking good, smelling good and tasting good (just kidding…maybe)….this cleaner works really well! The tub is nice and big and the little strawberry and the grooves provide a bit of agitation to get your sponges and brushes clean. For my smaller brushes I don’t even bother with a brush egg, I just use this. Again this is a generous sized product for the price. Also, they are free from sulphates, parabens, phthalates, petroleum products and other skin irritants.

Facial Mist Spray (RSP R80)

Made with roses and aloe to hydrate, soothe, and leave you feeling fresh and awake, prepping your skin for the Priming Moisturizer. Also excellent as a makeup refresher and midday pick-me-up.

This facial mist is nice. I use it either as a toner or before my primer. It leaves my skin feeling a bit tacky, so for that reason I feel that it helps my makeup ‘stick’ to my face a bit better. Also when I am having any breakout issues, I usually spray this quite liberally on my face to just soothe my skin.

MISSHA – pure source pocket pack – Honey (RSP R60)

This convenient sleeping mask in a portable, travel-friendly squeeze pack (good for 2-3 uses) helps soothe skin inflammation and blemishes as it hydrates skin. With 200mg of honey extract, this sleeping mask treats skin overnight with a soothing gel texture for calmer, healthier skin by morning.

This was way smaller than I expected, and I thought there was no way I was getting 2 to 3 uses out of it, but I actually will. Don’t judge a book by its cover I guess?  I like that it’s a sleeping mask that works while I sleep! Talk about multi tasking! #GoMe

I didn’t expect much from this mask due to the price, but I was surprised that my skin felt quite hydrated the next morning. It’s a clear gel like mask and I think I expected it to look like honey. That was surprising…lol

Janet also included a little body butter and hand cream sample for me, but I have not used them yet. Pink Cosmetics definitely knows their stuff, so I am really excited to try out some of their hair products next! Also I love that this is a homegrown business, as I believe we need to #SupportLocal!

If you’d like a little discount on your Pink Cosmetics order, my buddy Miss Dhanusha has a discount code for you: missdhanusha

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these goodies and also if you’ve tried anything else from Pink Cosmetics that I have to try 🙂

I’m Simone, a mom of 3, a wife...obsessed with my family, makeup and books!
