Product empties and what I’ll repurchase

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again….to finish products is literally a bucket list item when you’re a blogger. There’s nothing better than reaching the end of a product, whether you loved it or hated it! Some times it feels wasteful to have all these products all the time…you start reviewing a new one before you’ve even made a dent in the previous product you were using. So when I have enough items to do an ‘empties‘ post, I get pretty darn excited!

I’m going to apologise in advance for the lackluster pictures, but really….who gets excited to take pictures of beat up empty containers? Not me…I can assure you of that….

Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser

I received this cleanser when I purchased my Clarisonic back in December. I liked the consistency of this cleanser and it was nice to use with my Clarisonic, but I eventually preferred using other cleansers over this one. Also the lid eventually stopped closing and most of it leaked out. I have another tube that I received when my Clarisonic was replaced recently, but I’m not sure if I will use it. I may throw it into a giveaway or save it as a travel cleanser. Due to the size, it’s actually ideal for travelling….assuming the lid closes on this one and it doesn’t leak everywhere.

L’Oreal Revitalift Bright Reveal

I purchased these brightening peel pads a few months ago and reviewed it in a previous post. These pads were nice to just give my skin a good ‘exfoliation’, especially when I knew I had been lazy with my skin care. I didn’t have to hunt for a cotton pads and a toner, so this product is really convenient. I used it maybe every 3rd night so I did manage to stretch it past one month. I’m not sure if I’d repurchase only because it’s a bit pricey and I’ve added so many new products to my skin care routine. Perhaps on a 3 for 2 I would pick it up again.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist

I think a lot of you will know that I absolutely adore this facial mist! I use it when I’m too lazy to do anything else to my face, when it’s hot…to refresh my makeup….anything! It’s just such a useful product and I love the skin care benefits that come with this mist. There is a full review on this, so if you’d like to read more, check the post out HERE.

Would I repurchase? Hell yes! I’m sure I would have repurchased this by the time this post goes live!

Woolworths Embody Handwash – Green Tea and Jasmine

This may actually come as a shock, because I don’t think I’ve spoken about my obsession with handwash on the blog before…but I’m, OBSESSED with handwash. I am not fussy at all…literally buy me the cheapest or most boujee handwash you can afford and I will be happy! I’ve asked for handwash for birthday presents before and I used to get mocked. People do not understand how deep the love goes. The problem though is that my kids will finish the handwash in the main bathroom in literally 48hrs. Adam will throw it out or the kids will pump 17 pumps to wash their hands in one go. So we go through a TON of handwash!

I usually love to take advantage of the 3 for 2 promotions at Clicks, but last month Woolworths had a promotion on their hand-wash and I picked up a few. This was a lovely hand-wash in that it didn’t leave my hands feeling dry or stripped. I however did expect a bit more in the scent department and I do like something that has a bit of nourishment in it as well. A shea butter or a type of oil….so I don’t think I’ll repurchase this, but I may look out for other variants that possibly contain some moisturising ingredients.

Milkshake Integrity Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner

I used to love picking up the Retail Box Secret boxes when they came out and I received this shampoo and conditioner in one of the boxes. Let me just state for the record that I have had this empty for MONTHS. I just kept forgetting to post about it. My husband had this in his hands at the bin so many times…. so it’s a miracle that it features here today.

I have frizzy, brittle, coarse hair.…that’s how I’d classify it. This range contains organic Muru Muru, so I had high hopes for it, unfortunately I did not enjoy this shampoo and conditioner at all! My hair just did not feel nourished enough and the shampoo left my hair feeling stripped. I know a lot of people love this brand, but this was a no for me.

Joice K-Pak Intense Hydrator

K-Pak Intense Hydrator Treatment is a luxurious treatment which improves manageability to dry, damaged and frizzy hair.

Enriched with a hydrating formula and a pH balance of 3.5, K-Pak Intense Hydrator Treatment seals the cuticle and polishes the hair surface. Infused with Shea Butter and Joico’s exclusive Quadramine® Complex, this professional hydrating treatment increases hair elasticity and body whilst helping to retain healthy moisture levels.

This was another Secret Box purchase and wow…was I glad to have gotten my hands on this one! I received the shampoo and conditioner, as well as the reconstructor. This range was made for my type of hair…my hair just felt so nourished, healthy and silky smooth. When I first used this, I felt it was literally the best products to ever touch my hair! It’s a bloody fantastic brand! I honestly loved it and would definitely repurchase this. I actually hoarded this little bit of the hydrator for months…which makes no sense when my hair needed it. Retail box honestly has an amazing range of hair products!

That’s it for this empties post or we’ll be here all day! I actually have a few items for the next post…so you can look forward to that in a month or 2 again..if you enjoy these type of posts? Keep doing these empties posts…yay…nay? Let me know! Also let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and also which products you’ve emptied recently?

I’m Simone, a mom of 3, a wife...obsessed with my family, makeup and books!
