The Best of Elizabeth Arden – My top picks! + {GIVEAWAY CLOSED}

It’s the most wonderful time….of the year…..  If Checkers has a Christmas aisle already, I can sing Christmas songs🤭 Christmas has come early on the blog!!! I am SOOOO excited about this post! Okay, let me calm down and back on up and get into the actual post first…..

I’ve stated this fact before, but I feel like Elizabeth Arden has been killing it this year! I have always been familiar with some of their skincare, and then I discovered the 8hr Hydrating mist and the Flawless Start primer and I thought: Why do I not use more from this brand??? It was a dream come true when I received my first PR package from Elizabeth Arden. I have been so fortunate to try out so much more from the brand and I love that I can recommend my absolute favourites to you.

Elizabeth Arden is consistent, current and such good value for money. I think that’s what I appreciate the most, they have products that suit such a wide variety of people, skin types and budgets. Today I’m rounding up the products that I have enjoyed the most from the brand…and if you stay tuned, there may be something in it for one of you! Without further ado, I present Simone’s ‘Best of Elizabeth Arden‘ product picks! Though let me tell you…to narrow it down was almost impossible!

Skin care

Elizabeth Arden 8hr Hydrating Facial mist

This will not come as a surprise and I would hope that most of you expected me to start with this product! The 8hr mist has received a lot of love from me on the blog and featured in a recent ‘EMPTIES‘ post. A few weeks ago I purchased 2 bottles, because I wanted to make sure that I have a backup. I love the mist on this and just how it makes my skin feel. Also it’s really an amazing cocktail of goodness for your face! I carry one in my bag and I have one on my vanity. This is a lifesaver in the days following my chemical peels!

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Replenishing HydraGel Complex

This lightweight, oil-free gel cream melts into skin to deliver an immediate cooling effect and provide continuous hydration for a full 24 hours. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and botanicals like Tree Mushroom Extract, Visible Difference Replenishing HydraGel evens skin tone and texture, minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and leaves skin looking moisturized, smooth and glowing.

I’ve featured this on my Instagram grid a few weeks back, and let me tell you….the love has only grown stronger! Within minutes of applying it, you see and feel the difference. My pores appear minimised, my skin feels like soft-touch velvet and it just feels so hydrated. With ZERO oily feeling. It’s mind boggling to me. I also use this as a primer some days, as I feel it works BEAUTIFULLY under makeup. Lastly, the price? R299…. again… #MindBlown. A little goes a long way and this will last you for ages! If there is a product I highly recommend you try out, it’s this one!

The Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer

I have loved this primer, but I’m going to be honest, it doesn’t feature in many blog posts because it’s difficult to photograph. Say what??? Yes…true story! My tube is kind of warped, so it throws my pictures off horribly….. So superficial I know!! You would however see me mention it a bunch in my makeup of the day stories on Instagram. This primer is very similar to the Benefit Porefessional, but it’s just a bit lighter in texture, which I love. It fills my pores and leaves my skin feeling so smooth. For me it also cancels out a bit of redness when I apply it. This is definitely a gem not spoken about enough!

Stroke of Perfection Concealer

I feel like such a broken record…love this and love that! I need to think of a new way to phrase this….but this is a list of products that I love, so bear with me, just for today 😉 This concealer honestly is a stroke of perfection! I love the convenience of if being a turn up product, proving to be convenient and quick when on the go! It is deliciously creamy, with no tugging under my eyes and it blends like a dream. The coverage, to me is a bit more natural, which is a look that I like. I haven’t reached for any other concealer in a while and need to actually pick up a backup soon.

Elizabeth Arden Plush Up Lip Gelato

This is another product that I have fallen in love with and I can never be without. These lip gelato’s glide on and really hydrate the lips. This isn’t just a tinted lipbalm, it nourishes thanks to ingredients like Hylauronic acid and Shea Butter. The tint itself is also quite generous. Does that make sense? It’s more than a tint, but less than a lipstick. The lip gelato is great for everyday and for a full face of glam. My absolute go-to shade is ‘Natural Blush‘ and I’m also really a fan of ‘Plum Perfect’.

Scent

Sunflowers Summer Air EDT Fragrance

Saving the best for last….Sunflowers Summer Air exudes the delight of getting lost in a refreshing, gentle wind. This alluring fragrance conveys simplicity with the air of Lemon, Apple, and Vert de Mandarin Orpur®. Gentle Cyclamen, Ozone, Rose, Osmanthus, and Jasmine mix with Cedarwood, Musks, and Amber to embody the freshness of the summer air.

When I first received the press release for this fragrance, I knew immediately that I was going to love it. I am not a fan of sweet, fruity scents. I either like a scent to border on masculine, or it needs to be fresh and light. Think of scents with Jasmine, Musk, lemons…..that’s my kind of scent. Before this one, my favourite scent was the Green Tea Nectarine Blossom, also from Elizabeth Arden. The Sunflowers Summer Air did not disappoint and I am absolutely smitten. I cannot think of a better way to explain it, than being caught up in a refreshing gentle breeze! This is not as light and subtle as their White Tea fragrance (also divine!), but it’s soft…and perfection. I also think it has a pretty good wear time. Lastly, the price? R455 for 100mls….I think that is pretty darn reasonable!
