Prima’s hottest toys this festive season! {Christmas Gift Guide}

I swear every year that I am not going to buy the kids fabulous toys for Christmas! There are 3 of them (#DasExpensive), so I am not usually the mom that gets my kids the cutest and latest new toys. They come home asking about toys that hatch or this or that…and I cringe, because I know we don’t do that in our home. You know those homes right?? The kid has a PS4, an Xbox 1…and whatever else….a different console in each room? Every brand new fabulous toy release to ever hit Toys R Us? We are NOT that home…we can’t afford to be. I’ve stated before, I go for classic, durable, educational…. Occasionally…really occasionally….I will sometimes spend a bit more than I’d planned. It’s in our nature to want to live through out kids sometimes….. #TrueStory

By now you know that I’ve launched the #ChristmasGiftGuide series of posts….products…brands….just the things I think look interesting and worth my coins this Christmas! In today’s post, I have a selection of some of the cutest, funnest and coolest toys that your kids will hope to find under the Christmas tree this year! I asked Prima Toys to send over a catalogue of the tops toys they anticipate will be a hit this year, and I then made a selection of what I thought my kids (and yours) would love. There are toys here to suit every budget 😉

Boys toys

  1. The Ben 10 Basic Omnitrix may look like just a cool watch and nothing more, but as all Ben 10 fans know the Omnitrix has the power to transform Ben 10 into ten different aliens.  The toy features over 40 alien phrases and awesome sound effects. RSP: R299.99
  2. Now you can launch your favourite Ben 10 alien heroes right from the Omnitrix, ready for battle! RSP: R 299.99

Joshua has the Ben 10 watch (there is the basic and also a deluxe version), so I think that the the alien heroes will be a nice addition for Christmas. For his birthday (5 days BEFORE Christmas) I think we’re definitely getting him the VR Real Feel Reality Simulator.

Girls toys

  1. Bizzy Bubs are cute babies that interact with their pacifiers and bottles. Watch them bounce, babble and play. RSP: R399.99 for ages 5 plus.

Toddler toys

  1. Created especially for toddlers, the Vtech Toot-Toot range provides miles of learning fun. I actually have both of these on my wishlist for Adam…eeek….but if I’m cash strapped, I think the Vtech Toot-Toot range looks like amazing value for money!

Inserts I meant to add to the collages, but forgot….so they get a special mention:

My Fairy Garden Unicorn and Friends, a charming Grow and Play toy, the set includes easy grow cress seeds, beautiful fairy and animal figures and a trough planter. For ages 4 +. RSP: R199.99

I hope this guide helps you out… I think it covers a wide age group and even though it says ‘boys and girls’, you all know the deal…there’s no such thing as boys toys or girls toys! Adam would absolutely love a Bizzy Bub any day of the week! Let me know if you see anything that catches your eye that may end up under your Christmas Tree this year!
