Product Empties and what I’ll Repurchase!

Product empties happen to be some of my most exciting posts to write! Not only does it mean I have finished a product, but also….I can get rid of all these darn empties that I have to save until I can take pictures! Literally a few hours after throwing all these empties away, I put 2 new items into the ’empties bag’, so hopefully there’ll be another post in the next few months. I would say weeks, but I think that would be terribly optimistic.

Dermalogica Biolumin-C Serum

I really enjoyed this serum and adding Vitamin C to my skincare routine. The consistency of this was lightweight and really felt great on my skin. I miss this product, and I would happily repurchase, but right now I don’t have the funds…the price tag is a bit steep when it’s #Januworry. lol. I am on the lookout for a more affordable option in times like these, so let me know if you have any recommendations.

Would I repurchase? Yes I would.

Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream

This is a lovely moisturiser, non-greasy, nourishing and very lightweight. I feel like my skin misses this moisturiser if I’m honest, but I am trying to finish what I have at the moment. In a situation where I have no moisturiser left, I would definitely repurchase this. If there’s a promotion on, or I can pick up on the kits at a good price…I’d definitely go that route.

Would I repurchase? Definitely!

Essence Super Curl Volume Mascara

This is the year that saw me try a lot more ‘drugstore’ mascara offerings. I had meant to purchase the Volume Hero mascara and accidentally grabbed this one. Best mistake I ever made! I fell in love with this mascara….head over heels. The brush on this is plastic/silicone…my kind of brush and I just felt it performed really well. This adds volume, length and curl…without even using a lash curler! There’s a reason this made it on to my ‘Best of 2018‘ list!

Would I repurchase? I already have!

Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara

So this mascara and I did not start off on the right foot….initially I wasn’t feeling it. I felt the formula was too wet, but then I felt after it dried out after a week or 2, the formula improved. It added lovely length…that was the most impressive for me. Still lacking a bit in the volume department, but for the length, I was happy to sacrifice volume. This was my second one, as I previously finished this and it featured in an empties post last year.

Would I repurchase? Yes, but only on promotion. I’m keen on saving some money this year and exploring drugstore offerings.

Eucerin Transparent Sun Spray

Until 2018, I was VERY slack about applying sunscreen…. to myself, and even to my kids. Last year that all changed as I got used to applying sunscreen to my face everyday (go away wrinkles and pigmentation) and then eventually to my kids as well…and even to the husband! This spray from Eucerin made it so easy. This is really fast absorbing, non-greasy, non-sticky….the opposite of what I associate a sunscreen to be. They do have a kiddies version of this, so I will be buying that one when I repurchase this on a 3 for 2 promotion soon. I will NEVER be without this sun spray ever again!

Will I repurchase? Hell yes!

Cutex Nail Polish Remover

I know…really Simone, nail polish remover? It was empty….I threw it in the bag…and here we are! lol. This is just a regular nail polish remover. Affordable, gets the job done…so that’s that.

Would I repurchase? I already have. 

BV Cosmetics Makeup Brush Shampoo

I received this from The Beautiful Store to review last year sometime and I quite liked this product. It’s very convenient in the pump bottle to just grab and wash your brushes and sponges. I usually use a solid brush cleanser, and it adds some extra time when you just want to wash a sponge, to open it, wet it and swirl the sponge in. With this shampoo, I wet the sponge, pump the product directly on to it….and wash.

Would I repurchase? I would, but not right now as I have 2 solid brush cleaners to get through. 

Side note, I see this has been repackaged and doesn’t come with the pump anymore. The packaging still looks easy though with the little squirt hole at the top.

Trichotin Hair Regenesis

I have been using these hair supplements on and off for a year. I used a tub once off early in 2018 and then later in 2018 I committed and bought 3 tubs in one go. An investment I don’t regret. This has done wonders for my hair…my fall out, breakage and bald spots (at my temples).

Would I repurchase? Yes I would!
