What is the 2019 Design-An-Allspace Competition?
The competition involves students from Primary and High Schools in the Metro area, submitting their best hand-drawn artwork to become the winning design for a vehicle wrap on their Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. The theme for this year is Outer Space. The Design-An-Allspace competition runs from 1 May – 20 September, after which the Top 40 will be selected and their artwork displayed at the dealership throughout the month of October, allowing the public to vote for their favourite.
“This is the third year that we are hosting this competition and have decided to challenge learners to draw inspiration from outer space when creating their designs. We look forward to seeing the creative talent of the learners in Nelson Mandela Bay” said Martin Taverner, General Manager, New Car Sales, Tavcor Volkswagen.
Previous winning designs
Okay, so your kid has what it takes, how do they enter?
Learners download the entry form and template from Tavcor VW or collect an entry form from the dealership.
Drop off their original entry at the Tavcor Volkswagen dealership, in William Moffett, Port Elizabeth by Friday, 20th September 2019 at 5 p.m.
The TOP 40 entries will be on display at the dealership for the month of October 2019.
The winners, including the people’s choice, will be chosen via a combination of public voting and the final judging process.
The final winners will be announced at an awards function at the end of October 2019.
A total of R18 000 in cash prizes is available to be won by the learners and the schools. All prizes won are shared equally between the student and the school. The top 40 learners must be present at the awards function to claim their prizes.
Two of the winning designs will be wrapped onto Tavcor Volkswagen demonstration vehicles (Tiguans in this year’s competition). These vehicles will be available for presentation at the winning schools.
