New products I’ve been testing and loving!
Happy Monday! I hope you’ve all had an amazing weekend and you’re ready to tackle the new week….AFTER catching up on today’s blog post 😉 We interrupt our regular Monday programming for a brief intermission from the 3-for-2 series…… to share some thoughts on new-ish products I’ve been testing. There are so many new products I’ve wanted to chat about, time has been getting the better of me though, but today is the day! Get comfy, grab a cuppa….and let’s go…..
L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Fresh Wear Foundation
With a new standard in longwear coverage it’s transfer-proof, life-proof, party-proof and water-proof so you get more from your makeup. With this freshwear foundation, longwear no longer means thick and heavy coverage. The innovative oxygen technology gives a lightweight feel whilst the ultra- stretchable formula ensures full coverage application- so a little goes a long way. Life doesn’t compromise, so now your makeup doesn’t either. For unstoppable resistance in unstoppable situations for unstoppable women.
All the comfort, none of the shine. Perfect coverage. No Cakey effect. Easy to apply, enriched with perlite technology, and reduces the appearance of shine up to 24 hours.
My thoughts:
Some of you may know that the Infallible 24HR Matte foundation is my FAVE from the drugstore. When the Fresh Wear launched in SA, I knew that I had to try it. I picked mine up in the shade 220 and shade 250 for my sister. I must say, I didn’t really notice much of a difference between those 2 shades. Personally, I do feel 220 is a smidgen too light for me, but I’ve been mixing it with darker foundations and that works well. The foundation definitely is very lightweight and looks beautiful on the skin. It definitely does not look cakey, and has a very soft matte look to it. For my oily skin though, the 24HR Matte is still my favourite, but in Winter this would be a go-too for me.
So far I’m enjoying it and I definitely think if you’re in the market for a new foundation, definitely give this one a try! I picked mine up on sale on Zando.com.
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot – Painterly
With a colour purity that stays true and doesn’t streak, this eyeshadow will keep your look flawless for as long as you need. Highly pigmented with an intense vibrant finish, it has a creamy application that dries to a second skin-like look with buildable coverage.
My thoughts
I have been wanting to try this eye shadow base for YEARS! I spotted it on sale recently on Superbalist, so of course I had to pick it up. Needless to say, there’s a reason this has a cult following. It applies so well, dries down fast, doesn’t crease and really just extends the life of my eye shadows.
I will say, an eye shadow base is not a must, as you can just use your concealer to perform a similar job. To some, it definitely is a nice-to-have, but I am glad to have this on my ‘vanity’.
Dose of Colors Gloss – One & Only
Join the party with the Mickey Mouse collection lipgloss, released in collaboration with Disney. Inspired by everyones favourite animation icon, Dose of Colour’s unmissable lipgloss offers a shiny, non-sticky formula with a smooth finish. Can be worn alone or layered over lipstick. Complete with a special-edition design, this is the ultimate way to celebrate 90 magical years with Mickey.
My thoughts
I have ALWAYS wanted to try something from Dose of Colors, so I squealed when I received this as a PR gift from Shop Betty Online. This is described as a ‘hot cocoa’ shade, and that’s exactly what it is, a delicious chocolatey brown. This is my kind of shade and takes me back to my teens, where I lived for a brown lip. Honestly, this is such a gorgeous gloss, with rich pigment and shine….a real all in one. I wear it alone or sometimes over a lipstick that I want to ‘neautralise’ a bit. I can’t wait to add more shades to my collection!
Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask
Banish the look of dullness and dryness in 10 minutes with this smoothie-inspired moisturizing mask. It is packed with nutrient-dense Supergreens, plus radiance-boosting fruit acids, for an incredibly soft and smooth complexion. A Prebiotic, naturally derived from sugar, helps to maintain balance in the skin’s microflora for a healthier-looking complexion.
Vitamin C and Passionfruit Acids help to gently slough away dead skin cells to reveal smoother, brighter look, while Omega-rich Avocado and Chia Seed oils help support the skin’s moisture barrier. Wheatgrass, Kale and Nettle extracts, all rich in chlorophyll, amino acids, minerals and vitamins, leave the skin hydrated with an outdoor-fresh glow. Formulated for all skin types.
My thoughts
I’m obsessed. #MicDrop. Review done. Okay, okay….. this is just such a fabulous face mask! I love that it contains Vitamin C, as well as all the other amazing ingredients. This doesn’t dry down, so it’s not a mission to get off my face. My skin feels AMAZING after using this mask. It feels nourished, soft and smooth…like a baby’s bum! I am just so happy to have a mask like this in my arsenal! It is a bit on the pricey side, but it will last you quite a while!
Elizabeth Arden White Tea Perfume
The White Tea Collection celebrates the pleasure of a life finely crafted. Discover the simple joy of defining a moment for yourself and savoring the personal reflection that comes with it. Tailor the world to your own private pleasure. Bottle the spirit, add a touch of serenity, and enjoy. White Tea invites you to share in the beauty that surrounds you every day.
White Tea is a refined essence with a clean sophistication. A serene landscape layered with bold light. Silky, vibrant, warm. Bursts of mandarin orange trailing into soft, woody musk. Feminine and persuasively soft.
Top Notes: Italian Mandarin, Clary Sage, Sea Breeze, Japanese White Fern
Middle Notes: White Tea, Mate Absolute, White Iris
Base Notes: Madras Wood, Ambrette Seed Absolute, Tonka Bean Absolute, Trio of Tranquility Musks
My thoughts
About a year ago, I was faffing about at an Elizabeth Arden counter and the lady at the counter told me I had to try the White Tea scent. I was smitten immediately, and I always felt like it was the scent that got away. Until it showed up at my door! It’s everything I like in a scent, soft, slightly citrus scented with the addition of musk. I feel this is so sophisticated, but in a youthful and feminine way. Whenever I use this scent, I just feel so grown up and sophisticated…..as if I don’t need to look at my ID to feel grownup… #Yikes, but you know what I mean right? lol. It’s a gorgeous scent and if these notes sound like your cup of ‘white tea‘, then definitely go and give it a sniff!
Earlier this year, Elizabeth Arden expanded the experiential collection with the addition of White Tea Wild Rose and White Tea Vanilla Orchid – all for the women who want to revel in the moment.
If I don’t stop now, I’ll go on forever and a day….and I still have more new products I need to speak about!!!!!!!!! I guess that means, I have another post to start drafting then 😉 Let me know if you’ve spotted anything you have tried and loved (or hated) or if there’s anything you want to try in this post.
Also, don’t you feel like brands are releasing such amazing products these days, that most of what you try is good Have you tried any awful products lately?

Gosh I haven’t tried any new products in ages. But really wanna try the L’oreal Infallible fresh water… Sounds good but then again they don’t have a shade that suites me in the original one you always rave about.
Also really wanna try the White Tea.
Don’t know when I’ll try these though.
Always loving a post with new things to try and look out for though. Thanks Moni

Gosh every time I see this L’Oréal foundation I have such FOMO! I’m unable to find a shade match and it’s been rough *dramatic sigh*
The lipgloss sounds amazing! I love the shade too.
I’m so regretting not keeping my Elemis mask like this. Once again, the FOMO hits 😅😅😅
I feel like brands are releasing TOO much product too close to each other. It’s so stressful because we don’t even get time to save up and enjoy one palette before another one hits the shelves. Still though, there has mean some gorgeous products as of late. *cough cough* Huda Mini Nudes, Tati Beauty *cough cough*
For products I’ve recently tried that’s been awful… I think the Essence Crystal Power Blush And Highlighter palette. It’s so glittery I cannot cope. Also the Foschini More Than Just Nude eyeshadow palette.

I’ve thankfully stopped feeling that need for new products and I really don’t stay on top of new releases, BUT Tati, I HAVE to support! THe mini Huda palettes are also kind of grabbing my attention.
I am off to read your review now…I saw an email come through that you published. I was curious about the Foschini palettes, so thanks for saving me some bucks, because it’s easier to justify the purchase of a local product, BUT wasted money, is wasted money!
