It’s looking like a Lush Christmas….in November!

At the very last minute (November is quite last minute to plan Christmas giveaways in the Blog world!) I decided I wanted to put together some giveaways. Giveaways for YOU GUYS AND GALS, who support me during the year and plod through my very long blog posts, engage, comment, etc.  I can think of no better brand to start the giveaways with, than Lush Cosmetics! Let’s get CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER STARTED!!!!!!!!!

Lush is a brand where cosmetics are made using the freshest ingredients, not tested on animals and sold fresh to customers! Think bath bombs, shower gels, scrubs, jellies, and even skin and hair care…. Lush is continually innovating and bringing the fun to bath time!

The Lush Christmas collection is probably the reason I fell in love with Lush products many many moons ago! My husband remembers the exact moment I was face to face with my first Lush store when we went to Cape Town on holiday once. He claims I let out a squeal and skipped into the store. LOL. After that, when I needed a fix, I just placed an online order. At one stage, before I started blogging, I had all my friends ordering with me….shampoo bars, the Mask of Magnyminty and whatever else I was raving about at the time. Today I do want to focus on my favourites from the Christmas collection specifically, but I’ll also add some clip notes on some other faves at the end.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

It isn’t a Lush Christmas without the Snow Fairy shower gel! I order the shower gel every. Single. Year. The scent is something I cannot describe to you…. like pink fluffy cotton candy, but cotton candy made by snow fairies. I swear my mother walked into my room one day while I was showering, opened my shower door….to demand to know what she was smelling in the passage! I was butt naked and screaming: It’s Lush mother, now go!!!

Besides the intoxicating scent, this also lathers beautifully and leaves my skin feeling (and smelling) amazing. I have spoken before about the fact that I do suffer from seasonal eczema, and the does not aggravate my eczema.

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner

Cast a fanciful fairy spell at Christmas with this saccharine body conditioner. Slather on an avocado and mango butter elixir and rinse off in the shower for soft, conditioned skin. Candy floss water envelops you in a cloud of innocence, reminiscent of childhood. Get heavenly skin with almond and jojoba oils to moisturise. We’re fairy certain you’ll feel enchanted all day long. It takes bubble-gumption to smell this sweet.

The body conditioner is a new product, and therefore, newer to my collection….BUT oh my soul… This conditioner is so divine and moisturising, but without leaving me feeling greasy or oily. I definitely don’t feel like I need to apply lotion after I shower, and I am in any event super lazy with applying lotion, so this is perfect for a lazy gal like me. Also, the scent lingers on my skin for ages, which I love!

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

Another item from the Christmas collection that I purchase every year, is the Golden Wonder bath bomb. Firstly, it looks like a cute present! Secondly, when you shake it, it jingles in there. Lastly, when you eventually bring yourself to actually use it, there are little golden stars inside that float in the water. My kids LOVE this one so much, because who doesn’t want to bath in festive looking water, surrounded by gold stars?

Santa Reusable Bubble Bar

I love the reusable bubble bars and I usually purchase the ‘Magic Wand’ one, but this year I got treated to the Santa Reusable Bubble bar in a press drop and the citrus notes just hit me for a 6! Cricket reference in case you didn’t know….

This bubble bar contains cheery notes of uplifting neroli, zingy lime and crisp lemon myrtle to do their work and transform your bathroom into a portal to the most uplifting winter wonderland around. If you’re missing the sunshine, this is one bubble bar that we know you’ll jolly well love!

My kids were convinced this was chocolate and 2 of them licked it to make sure I wasn’t lying. Needless to say, it didn’t taste as good as it smells apparently. Ho ho ho. I am a sucker for citrus scented anything, so this one is a winner in my books!

Cookie Dough Body Scrub

I don’t want this post to be too long and I went back and forth between a scrub and a jelly, but I decided to go with the scrub! I love Lush body scrubs, so this actually isn’t much of a surprise I reckon.

An irresistibly inviting blend of comforting vanilla absolute, softening cocoa powder and mouthwatering hydration to the skin and a satisfying sugar fix. A dash of coarse granulated sugar, a pinch of superfine sea salt and a handful of silky cornflour is a batch made in heaven, whipping up the creamiest of lathers and gently buffing the skin for a velvety touch. You’ll go nuts for a triple serving of toasted hazelnut oil, protective pistachio oil and fruity almond essential oil, releasing waves of sweetly-scented cherries that delicately blossom on the skin.

Doesn’t this sound like perfection??? Just make sure you don’t try to eat it!

The Yog Nog shower gel, is like showering in liquid gold, that smells like the most divine caramel!
