I’ve finished some skin care products! Am I repurchasing?
Gals, the end of the year is upon us and I am just taken aback that it is almost. The. Freakin. End. Of. The. year! How crazy is that? I remember it was January 2 minutes ago, when I was sadly circling the public holidays to look forward to for 2019! Urgh, I’ll be doing that again soon! lol. Anyways….as the year draw to a close…so have some of my skin care products. Today I’ve got some more beauty empties and I thought I’d share them with you. Yes, I think so highly of you, that I’m sharing my trash with you. Good going Simone….way to make people feel important. *insert face palm* What’s in my bin that I’d repurchase? Keep reading to find out!
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo +
I posted about this product recently in my ‘Acne Fighting Products‘ post, and a part of me can’t believe I have NEVER spoke about this product before. It’s so good that I finished it in record time, because I used it pretty much daily. I used this as a day cream and because it’s a 2-in-1, where it’s an SPF, and a treatment for my blemish prone skin, it was a winner. This product is also super light weight on the skin, non greasy and perfect under makeup.
I’ll definitely be repurchasing this in the near future.
Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules*
What is it?
76% more potent than unencapsulated retinol1-a new, targeted treatment to visibly diminish lines and wrinkles while improving skin texture and tone. Each capsule is single use and sealed tight for optimal freshness and potency. Plus, they’re preservative and fragrance free.
I’m not going to be turning this into a review post, but these were a newer launch from Elizabeth Arden earlier in the year and one I was REALLY EXCITED about trying! I am at that age obviously, where I need to be trying out all the anti-ageing products, and retinol is an ingredient I absolutely love in my skin care routine. These capsules left my skin feeling really smooth, so I felt like it did improve my skin texture and tone. I don’t have too many lines at this stage, so I can’t speak to that claim.
I would definitely repurchase this, as I love the concept of the capsule and also it really made my skin feel and look amazing. This is a more pricey item though, so I’d recommend that you go and ask for a sample pack and test before you buy.
Lancome Tonique Pure Focus
This bi-phase toner (water and powder)is the perfect finishing touch to makeup removal. It tones and purifies your skin, removing any traces of makeup and leaving pores perfectly clean. It matifies by absorbing excess sebum to eliminate shine. Your skin is clean, fresh and matte ready for its daily skincare treatment.
With Summer on its way, I am always needing all the mattifying products. I bought this last Summer and it was a staple for me and my oily skin! It really mattified my skin, without making it feel tight or dry. I have yet to find a toner that works like this one does with the bi-phase component to it.
I would repurchase this on sale, which is how I was able to purchase it originally.
Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream
Firstly, yes I know, this is not skin care. Secondly, in my next life, I’m coming back as a Cantu rep! lol. I am so in love with all of their products and I think we’ve (Addison and I) literally tried every single product from this brand at this point.
When Addison goes through her natural hair stage every few months, this product is a staple. If you have textured hair, you know that you can’t just use any conditioner as a leave in. It will build up, cause dandruff and sometimes even end up drying out your hair. This leave-in conditioner is formulated to be left in and is specifically for dry, damaged and/or coarse hair. All Cantu products are sulfate, silicone, paraben and mineral oil free!
Hell yes I will be repurchasing. I love grabbing this on a 3-for-2 at Clicks!
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist
We don’t have to say too much about this. I’ve featured this product so many times, it’s a staple, must have….already have a backup, as I purchase 2 usually when it’s on promotion.
Childs Farm Bubble Bath
I’ve actually finished so many bottles of this product, I just keep forgetting to mention it! We absolutely adore this brand and their products. The Bubble bath is such a winner in my home, it’s gentle on the skin and also smells AMAZING! The scent can literally take over the whole house….in a good way!
Yes I will be repurchasing!
I know….Simone you loved everything…where’s the tea?? I think in future I’m going to make a point to include a product that I am probably never going to finish or repurchase. I’ve just really been loving my skin care products over the last few months, so it made sense that I finished them….because I loved the products!
That’s it for my latest skin care empties. I’m going to probably only do one of these in the new year again, and I’m hoping to have some makeup items in that post. I already know of a few products that are almost finished…YAY! I seriously get SO EXCITED to finish products, so fingers crossed the next one is going to be a goodie! Have you finished any beauty products recently?

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + This is what Alyssa is currently using, every few months i purchase on Dermastore and buy 3 so it can last. Nice and light and at the same time address the marks the pimples leave behind.
Cantu – staple in my home and when Clicks has their 3 for 2 I stock up. I haven’t tried this repair cream yet but will give it a try.
I usually try the kids range as it has lighter texture – love the styling custard – does NOT weigh your hair down. Alyssa like the kids curling cream
The rest of the items have to be on sale to be able to purchase 🙂
Simone
You can get La Roche on the 3 for 2 at Dischem as well. It’s an awesome product!
I must try the kids range for Addison…I usually just get the adult range.
I agree….. I need sales myself to pick up most of them as well. lol
Thanks for reading!
