Gelli Worlds - Messy Play, without the mess? Yes, please! ⋆ An Ordinary Gal

Guys and gals….. I think us parents thought that the slime, gloop and gelli craze would end eventually…like 3yrs ago!?? Right??? We were wrong…The slime business is booming and kids love every and all things slime related! So news flash, the craze isn’t, and it won’t be disappearing anytime soon!! In 2020, we have to embrace the slime way of life!

If only there was a less messy, more controlled way to embrace it though….. Well, GOOD NEWS….there actually is! I’ve reviewed items from the Slime and Gelli Baff range before, and my kids loved it! In December Zimpli Kids sent me some different products in the range for my kids to test out, and today I thought I’d share my thoughts with you.

Gelli Worlds – Dino & Fantasy Pack

My kids received the Dino and Fantasy packs, which forms part of their Playtime range. With a range of unique textures, colours and effects, the playtime range is perfect for messy and multi-sensory play. I whipped the Dino pack out on the 24th December, when we needed to keep the kids occupied while we prepared for Christmas Eve dinner. 3 Pre-schoolers are always going to test you when you’re trying to get things done!

Boy was this set a hit! I’m not lying when I say that Adam and his cousin played with this for about 2hrs. Straight! Included in the pack are the following:

Inflatable Tray
5 x Green Gelli powder bags
8 Piece dinosaur figure set

The big selling point for me here is the inflatable tray! Why has nobody thought about this before? Thank you Zimpli kids…thank you! I think this is genius!! The gelli is contained in the tray and when they’re done, you can just tip the contents down the drain. Easy as pie. There are also 5 bags of powder, and you only need one per play, so effectively 5 plays per box. You can then always buy the Gelli single packs once you’re out, or use the tray and the figurines in some other way.

This Dino pack would be a hit at parties, play dates or even just to keep your kid out of your hair for a few hours! I highly recommend this one!

Slime Baff

Slime Baff safely turns your bath water into a gooey, oozy bath of slime. By just adding more water, the slime can be diluted into coloured water that can be easily drained away. Slime Baff is available in a range of exciting colours and effects and is the perfect product for messy and multi-sensory play!

Snow Ball Play

This is exactly what the name suggests, kids create their own snow balls! My kids love this, especially here in South Africa where we have no snow…this is as good as it gets! I recall us having an awesome snowball fight in the backyard a few months ago with one of these packs!
