Lockdown essentials: Makeup & Kids related

Just like that, the first week of giveaways have come to an end! I hope you all have had a great weekend….and have been enjoying the posts and the giveaways?? In today’s post I am chatting about my 2 great loves…..my kids and my makeup collection 😉 I think as parents, during lockdown our biggest concern has been: What will the effects be of this lack of socialisation for our kids? Do I have enough activities to keep them occupied? How often do I need to bath them if they don’t leave the house anymore? No, I’m serious…. NOT….okay maybe…. Also, do I have enough concealer for all the stress that homeschooling brings?

Lockdown Essentials for Kids

With all these questions in mind, I’ve compiled my list of lockdown essentials for my kids. Products that make life easier all round.

  • Lego (because it’s educational and fun! When I could not get to school work for the day, I was happy if the boys played with their Lego)
  • PAL Box (discovered this thanks to the brand reaching out, what an amazing activity box for pre-schoolers! Full review coming soon)
  • Xbox (because some days, I needed them to be on the Xbox all day, so I could work)
  • Childs Farm Bubble Bath (smells great, gentle on the skin, made bath time a breeze! My boys refuse to bath if there ain’t no bubbles!)
  • Mini Cheddars (because mini cheddars are life! They don’t want the knock offs. )
  • Kiwi fruit (My kids eat copious amounts of kiwi fruit every day…??)Wet n Wild Sponge

Makeup essentials

Okay, confession…..in over 100 days I have worn makeup twice! lol. TWICE!! Guys my makeup is dying a slow death and I really do miss wearing makeup 🙁 However if I was wearing makeup, the products I would be using would be:

  • Wet n Wild Beauty Sponge (so affordable and works like a dream)
  • Revolution Roxxsaurus Ride or Die palette ( another great buy from the #budgetbeauty category and I love the shade selection)
  • Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation (best, with added SPF….nothing more to say!)
  • Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (though I am definitely trying the de-slick spray when I need to restock)
  • MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick (I wear this lipstick with any and every eye look)

If you missed my makeup giveaway, head to my Instagram or Facebook pages to enter….believe me, you don’t want to miss it!
