Which Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsule is right for you? + {Giveaway}
Are you feeling festive yet? People….what a year 2020 has been right??? This is one that will obviously go down in the history books…. our grandkids and great grandkids will probably think 2020 was some kind of urban legend! Anyways….as we head into December, I am really just looking forward to some down time….and I want a really festive vibe in my home. What’s more festive than winning an amazing product from one of my absolutely favourite brands? Well keep reading and Santa may be delivering an awesome prize to you this Christmas 😉
Currently, there are 4 variants of the much loved Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsule. I luckily own all 4, and though it may seem excessive to own all of them….they all have a place in my skin care regime. I am not claiming that you need to own all 4….but chances are there’s a spot for at least one of these nuggets in your skin care regime. Let’s get to it…and we’ll start with the OG!
Advanced Ceramide Capsules
Advanced Ceramide Capsules help replenish and restore the ceramides your skin needs, but loses with age. They help to moisturize, preserve and strengthen skin’s integrity. An enhanced complex of ceramides reinforces the integrity of skin’s moisture barrier and supports natural lipid levels. Potent botanicals and a retinol derivative promote skin’s natural repair process, diminishing the appearance of aging signs for firmer, smoother, healthy-looking skin.
In my opinion, the original Advanced Ceramide capsules are kind of the ‘all rounder‘ of the bunch. The texture is very similar to that of the Vitamin C capsules, though this one sinks into the skin faster. I love using this when my skin is in good shape and doesn’t need any specific concern addressed. Also, I feel like this capsule is good for general overall skin health.
Retinol Ceramide Capsules
This luxurious, lightweight, semi-translucent serum combines two of the biggest names in skincare in one, easy-to-use capsule: Retinol, the clinically proven wrinkle-smoother, and moisture-boosting ceramides. Formulated to help protect against the dryness often associated with retinol. In one month, see more youthful skin, minimized wrinkles and better texture and tone.
Texture wise, this capsule is amazing. I love how silky smooth it feels and how quickly it sinks into the skin! As somebody who is in her last month of being 30 something *GULP*, smoother, more youthful skin is definitely the goal! Currently, I don’t think I really have wrinkles to speak of, but I feel like including this in my routine has aided with that, or at least slowed that process down.
Also, Retinol is a fabulous ingredient to use in the battle against acne/breakouts, so I always whip these out when it’s THAT time of the month.

Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules
Encapsulated for freshness, formulated for maximum potency. This luxurious, lightweight dry oil serum combines two powerhouse ingredients in one capsule: Vitamin C for its brightening superpowers, and ceramides to help prevent moisture loss. Dual-action brightening technology visibly diminishes dullness and fights hyperpigmentation, perking up tired-looking skin and balancing tone. Instant brightening power in every dose.
The Vitamin C Ceramide capsules are definitely my favourite of the 4. It is my least favourite in terms of feel, because I do feel like these take longer to sink into my skin, BUT, so worth it. Vitamin C is an ingredient you have to have in your regime if you’re looking to even out your skin tone and to fight hyperpigmentation. As somebody who has battled with acne scarring for almost 40 years, this is the product that has made such a difference. I find my acne scars have faded and any new blemishes are taken care of immediately. This isn’t called a ‘Radiance Renewal Serum‘ for nothing!
I usually use these AFTER my breakouts have disappeared and I want to prevent scarring from said breakouts.

Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules
Skincare with a twist. Formulated for maximum potency and encapsulated for purity, for visibly plumper, firmer and hydrated skin. Powered by moisture sealing Double-Lock Hydration, this silky, lightweight serum combines two essential youth factors in a single-dose capsule. Hyaluronic acid draws in moisture while skin-strengthening ceramides lock it in. See healthy-looking skin with visibly defined facial contours. Instant plumping power in every dose to reclaim skin’s youthful bounce. Biodegradable, single-dose capsules. Free from added fragrance.
The new kid on the block….last, but certainly not least! Hyaluronic Acid is an absolute must have in my skincare routine, especially as I age and my skin (and yours) loses moisture. The Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules have a very similar consistency to the Retinol capsules, and I just love how silky and lightweight these feel too. Also, the white capsules add such a sophisticated feel, to an already sophisticated brand! After using these capsules, my skin feels so hydrated and plump (nothing to do with all the Milk Tart pots…I promise!). The double-lock hydration definitely gives you the best of both worlds!
These are fragrance free and the capsule is biodegradable.

I would love to try the Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules. I am thirty years old and I have just started my skincare journey now. My skin still has a long way to go. But taking care of my skin makes me feel good and gives me confidence. I am also a mom of three little ones 6 year’s and under, and I always put everyone before me. My skincare journey is my “me time” and I love it.
