Clean Smarter with The 15-Minute Clean, by Lynsey Crombie

In 2020, under lockdown, a few of us found our inner Clean Queen! I bought all the products and for a while….I wanted to clean ALL the things. Eventually though, I ran out of steam. The cleaning that was helping with the mental tug of war during Lockdown, then started adding to it. I felt like every day was Groundhog day. If my kids dirtied 3 dishes, I needed to wash it…immediately. As a result, I was washing dishes ALL DAY! Finding a balance and also working a little bit smarter became key in rescuing me from the brink of insanity. I’m so grateful to all the ‘cleanfluencers’ who help make this job a little easier, by sharing all their tips and tricks with us. Today I am reviewing Lynsey Crombie’s, The 15-Minute Clean. Lynsey is TV’s ‘Queen of Clean‘, so she’s definitely qualified to help us get the job done…right?

What is The 15-Minute Clean about?

What if you could always have a sparkling clean and organized home by just spending 15 minutes per day on your housework? The 15-Minute Clean will teach you how to do just that.

Cleaning has never been easier than with TV’s Queen of Clean, Lynsey Crombie, and her guide to your new daily cleaning routine. No more mess, no more hours of chores on the weekend – just one 15-minute session per day that you will power through in a flash – leaving you to enjoy the rest of your day. Once you adopt your daily 15-Minute Clean, you’ll never look back.

  • Create your own quick and easy daily routine
  • Declutter and organise your home without a fuss
  • Create more time for loved ones
  • Soothe your soul with a tidy and calming environment
  • Never spend a weekend on chores again

My Thoughts

I know, we know how to clean, so why do I need a book on cleaning??? I felt the same way, but honestly, this book has given me so many practical tips. Some of them I did know before reading the book, but if you’re not a social media addict, it may be a tip you’ve never heard in your life. A book is a great way to summarise a wealth of information, available easily at your fingertips….your cleaning encyclopedia I suppose 😉

Besides practical tips, The 15-Minute Clean is also an interactive book. There are empty cleaning lists and calendars, so you can personalise your cleaning list to your home and surroundings. That isn’t all….this book is honestly a WEALTH of information. From self-care checklists, to cleaning with Eucalyptus oil, to dealing with your filing and paperwork, to tips on how to include your family. This is not just a cleaning guide….it’s a way to make some really great lifestyle changes as well. Lynsey Crombie

My Favourite Tip

I don’t want to give Lynsey’s tips away, but her Follow-the-Wall technique is something so simple, but life changing for me! Sometimes my cleaning is a bit chaotic…dust this pedestal, then the bathroom mirrors, then vacuum quickly. No plan or strategy, chasing my tail. Insanity right? Now, using this technique, I use my own house as the map for my cleaning strategy.

The 15-Minute Clean will be an amazing addition to any household. With great graphics and easily explained lists and tips, this book is for everybody! Challenges that will see you tackling housework in 5 minute increments, 15 minutes…and even how to speed clean when unexpected guests are looming at your doorstep! Whether you’re a cleaning professional, or you need help on where to start, you can implement these simple tips…that don’t cost the earth. You won’t regret picking this one up!

The 15-Minute Clean is available at all leading book retailers and retails for around R335, but I spotted it on sale over on Loot.co.za.
