Monday Haircare Review
If you haven’t noticed the stunning baby pink packaging that belongs to the Monday haircare brand, I’m sure you’ll notice it after today’s review! I’d seen the Monday range on Instagram and one day at Clicks, it was on a 3 for 2 promotion, so I decided to give this brand a try. If you’ve been curious about the brand, then keep reading 😉
About Monday Haircare
- Their formulas are PH-balanced and free of SLS and parabens.
- Their aim is to give us Salon Quality products at an affordable price
- They care about the planet, which is why their bottles are 100% recyclable.
- They’re proudly certified by PETA for not testing on animals.
- The core range consists of four types of Shampoo and Conditioner suited to all hair types: SMOOTH, MOISTURE, VOLUME and GENTLE.
My Experience
I picked up the Volume shampoo, and the conditioner in the Smooth and the Moisture variant.
I absolutely love that the top of each bottle contains a ‘S’ or a ‘C’, to indicate if it’s a shampoo or conditioner. Time and time again, I have soap in my eyes and I’m trying to figure out what I’m grabbing in the shower. This definitely alleviates that problem….it’s such a simple element to the packaging, but it’s pretty life changing for me. Also, it’s a pump bottle, adding to the convenience of using the product in the shower. The scent of the product is amazing as well….like fresh flowers, but subtle, not overpowering at all.
So the packaging is Instagram worthy and the scent is great, but what about the actual product? Well, I can honestly say I am really impressed with the product. The shampoo lathers really well and leaves my hair really clean without feeling stripped. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling soft and silky, and I find I can really extend my wash day, because my hair stays sleek and smooth for longer than other brands I’ve been using.
My Error
You’ll see above that I bought 3 different variants….that was definitely NOT my intention. I thought I had chosen a Smooth shampoo and conditioner, and the Moisture conditioner. When I got home though, I discovered that I had chosen the wrong shampoo…Oi vey…. This is because all the bottles are baby pink, and the Clicks I was at, the bottles were not grouped according to variants. As it was new-ish on the shelf, I’m wondering if they didn’t realise that the bottles were not all the same variant? Anyways, so I definitely learnt a lesson to double check what I grab off the shelf in future. Hopefully you don’t make the same mistake 😉
RSP and Stockists
The Monday haircare range retails at R180 for 350mls at Clicks. This haircare range is well worth the price in my opinion and on a 3 for 2 promotion, you’re paying R120 a bottle, which is even better! Takealot.com also stocks the range, but it retails on there for around R189.
