Eleven Dogs Live With Me! {Kids Book Review}

Today we’re reviewing Eleven Dogs Live With me…..a fun addition to any dog loving kid’s bookshelf 😉 I remember one time, my then 5yr old was trying to feed our dogs leftover toss salad. He was quite unimpressed that our dogs do not seem overly fond of lettuce and tomatoes! ha ha. Since then, he has become quite the dog lover, and I think it’s the cutest thing to watch him interacting with the dogs. Thankfully there are only 2 dogs on our property, because unlike the narrator in today’s book, ‘Eleven Dogs Live With Me’ is not something that would ever come out of my mouth!! Eleven??? I don’t think would ever be an option, though I’m sure my boys would absolutely love that….minus the poopy scoop duties that would come with owning Eleven Dogs….

What is Eleven Dogs Live With Me about?

“The basset never listens, the dachshund barks non-stop. The schipperke has far too much fur and sheds it with each belly flop. Eleven dogs is such a lot, but I’d rather have it this way than not!”

A joyous ode to the love, mess and chaos of dogs…multiplied by eleven! A tail-waggingly happy story that every dog lover, adult and child alike, will adore! Children will fall in love with the beautiful, detailed illustrations that pawfectly capture the essence of dogs! It’s a read, and read-it-again book!Eleven Dogs Live With Me

Our Thoughts

Eleven Dogs Live with Me is a glimpse into the love, shedding, chaos and barking that comes with owning multiple dogs. This book is beautifully illustrated and will definitely catch the eye of your little dog lover. I also love that it’s a rhyming book, it always makes reading a lot more fun for the younger budding readers.

Eleven Dogs Live With Me retails for around R110 and is available at all leading book retailers.

Thank you Penguin Random House for this review copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
